How to use Exercise Converter tool

The Exercise Converter tool is used for importing exercise data from previous Polar software products - Polar Training Advisor SW 1.x, Polar Precision Performance SW 2.x and Polar Sports Diary SW 1.0 to Polar Precision Performance SW 3.0. Also data in Polar Horsetrainer SW 1.x can be converted to Polar Equine SW 3.0.

Note that you need to make the conversion just one time.

Before starting close other Polar software products. It is also recommended to take backup copies of your exercise databases.

Instruction:

1. Select Options - Switch Person and select the person to whom you like to import the data.

2. Select File - Exercise Converter. Then press the OK button.

3. Press the folder button and open the folder that the .INI file mentioned below exists. If you are converting the data from Polar Horsetrainer SW 1.1 open the folder that have HORSES10.INI.

4. Select the team and the person that data you like to import for the active person.

5. Select the data range. The defaults are the most recommended options.

6. Press the OK button.

7. Select the sport and press the Edit button. Then select the compatible sport in PPP SW 3.0 and press the OK button. If you have used sport categories in the previous software check the Specify sports by categories item. With the New button you can create a new sport if there is not a sport available for the selection. If you like to use the same sport for the all sport/category combinations select the Apply the same sport to all categories of old sport item.

8. Then press the Start Conversion button to import the exercises to PPP SW 3.0. If you like you can cancel the entire process. The conversion will take 30-90 seconds.

All the combinations need to have a counterpart. If there is displayed a combination (sport + category) that does not exist, create a "virtual" sport for that. You can remove the unnecessary sports afterwards.

You can make the selection by double-clicking the desired sport.

If there are more than five exercises per day only the first five exercises will be converted.

There must be at least one member in Polar Team for the Exercise Converter. If there is not any you can create using the Team function (Options - Teams).
